“Style isn't forced. It just happens when you let expectations out of their cage."
— James Shealy
Atlanta native, James Shealy, has been cultivating style and sound since his 10 year mark as a musician. Gathering knowledge from classical training in piano, orchestra, percussion, and combining it with a natural ease with vocals and guitar has created the ability for self taught producer and sought after songwriter, James, to dial in any genre. After competing on the Voice in 2012, and soon after, breaking off as a solo artist, it's been off to the races and a musical journey has ensued. Through years of exploration of the talent within him, James has been able to zero in on a unique, epic, vibrant and captivating sound for his original music.
James is an independent writer and producer for his original music, as well as for several other artists. James has performed locally for years, selling out shows in popular venues such as The Strand and Smith's Old Bar's upper room. In addition, he has toured the country performing with event bands for six years, where he has gained a vast amount of experience singing alongside musicians also touring with world renown artists. James is currently traveling weekly with A-Town A-List as frontline manager. To top it off, James recently began working with Bus, a private publishing company, writing and pitching songs for TV/film placement where he gets opportunities to flourish in all genres.
